I WANNA BE A CELEBRITY

Metaverse Broadcasting Channel (MBC), pioneers of the virtual media movement have teamed with Phaylen Fairchild, creator of Second Life’s first sitcom, DiVAS to create a brand new reality series to be filmed in the virtual world of Second Life™.

 The 6 part series takes Six contestants from around the globe and pits them against one another in various skill-based challenges. Each week, the contestants will meet with a Mentor, an expert in a specific field where they will learn various skills which they will later be judged upon. This is the first Virtual Reality series not based upon public votes, but solely on skill development and enthusiasm for learning. At the end of each round, the winner will receive an exclusive award and one contestant will be eliminated from the competition. Skills that will be put to the test encompass most of those specific to Second Life including building, photography, performance, avatar customization, social engagement and collaboration. Along the way, they will be aided by some of Second Life’s most accomplished professionals intent on guiding them down the path to becoming a Virtual Superstar.

  At the end of the 6 week competition, the winner will receive a development deal with MBC, an opportunity to star in their own show where their talent will be nurtured and their work celebrated.

Current Events:

Changes are coming to Podcast Island. The residential side of the island will be closing, and Itazura Radio is buying the main island from Gary Leland of Podcast Pickle. He plans on moving the Destination Station to the center of the island, and making some other changes and improvements as time goes on. Podcast Island is the home of Destination Station, SLPN Studios, the set of Rezzednecks, and the Primagination building where you can buy the Rezzhud.

Welcome everyone, to the very first episode of What The Plurk?!

This is the podcast that will feature the community of SL plurkers, and the cool things that everyone does. So many times we have added new friends to our plurk timelines, but we don’t always know exactly who they are, and what they do. This podcast will answer those questions.

In this first episode, I’m talking about Thraxis Epsilon and Prad Prathivi.

Thraxis Epsilon is the creator of the PlurkHud. The PlurkHud allows you to post to plurk from within the Second Life viewer. You can check karma and post to plurk, as well as posting Slurls with a brief message.

The PlurkHud is available at his store, Thraxis Creations. In addition to the PlurkHud, he also sells lamps, gazebos, skins, fountains, and lots more.
